National 4/5 Physical Education

National 4

The National 4 course is composed of 3 internally assessed units;

• Performance Skills
• Factors Impacting on Performance
• Added Value

In order to complete the course and attain a National 4 qualification all of the above units must be achieved.

National 5

The National 5 course differes slightly and is composed of the following units;

• Performance Skills
• Factors Impacting on Performance

If these unit assessments are successfully completed then the candidate will then complete the course assessments;

• Performance
• Factors Impacting on Performanc Portfolio (this is the only part of the course externally assessed.)

Activities

The National 4 and 5 courses are taught through the activities below.

• Football & Hockey
• Basketball
• Badminton
• Gymnastics
