Specific congratulations to Laura Williamson, 2A3, who won her piano recital class and also to a quartet comprising Hazel Jamieson, Rachel Home, Katie Beadle and Mairi Watson, who won their class of String Ensemble and were graded outstanding in their assessment. Both groups have been invited to perform at a final concert on Friday (23rd March) at 7pm in Ayr Town Hall. Tickets are £6 and available at the door. ATLANTIC RISING CHALLENGE In February, all S2 pupils had the opportunity to complete the “Atlantic Rising Project”, an Interdisciplinary challenge on Climate Change.
This project was run by the Geography and Modern Languages departments. A major focus was employer engagement. Our pupils were fortunate to be briefed by representatives from the Ayrshire Joint Planning Board, EDF (Hunterston) and Strathclyde Renewables (a research department based in Strathclyde University).
