For Results, please click Read More Congratulations to Mara Lyon 1C3 who sailed and represented Scotland in the under 16’s section of the Eric Twiname Regatta and came 3rd in Scotland and 52nd in Great Britain. Mara is well on her way to be in the next Olympic Games in this very physical and emotionally hard sport. Well done.

They skate for Ayr Figure Skating Club's Synchronised Skating team 'Ayr Force' and took Gold medal place in the 'Preminary Level' category event at the Blackpool 2012 Festival of Ice in the Blackpool Arena on 2nd April and followed that up a week later, on the 8th of April with a Silver medal at Dumfries whilst competing in the Trophy D'Ecosse (Scottish Championships as was). The latter was a truly international competition with teams from 12 countries from around the globe, including Australia! ![]() Prestwick Academys under 15 cross country star Kirstin Oakley completed the 2011/2012 season on Saturday by making a well deserved first appearance on the international stage with her participation in the SIAB Schools International race at Strathallan in Perthshire. This race is contested between teams from Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales with each team consisting of the top 8 finishers in each countrys National Schools Cross Country competition with Kirstin gaining selection due to her recent Scottish triumph. Although there was not much between the teams in the first half, they found themselves 1-0 down at half time.
Two quick second half goals from Liam Wallace and Sam Gray turned the game around as Prestwick had the majority of the possession in the second half. Steven Clark and Logan Dunlop were once again solid at the back, winning everything in a physically contested match. Thank you to everyone who came and supported the team. |
