Last week a huge number of Prestwick Academy pupils were successful in their chosen event at the ‘South Ayrshire Athletics.’ As a result, they progressed on to the ‘Ayrshire Athletics,’ competing at a higher standard against schools in South, East and North Ayrshire. For Results, please click Read More Both events had an Olympic theme with Prestwick Academy as Team GB! Over both events a medal tally was taken. Prestwick totalled a massive 27 gold medals and 18 silver medals to come 2nd place in Ayrshire behind Wellington Academy! In addition, 3 shields were presented to Prestwick Academy pupils – S3 Boys ‘Best Relay Performance,’ Kirsten Oakley ‘Best Female Track Performance’ in the 1500m (also setting a new Ayrshire record) and Fraser Angus S1 Shield ‘Best Boy Performance’ coming first place in 100m, 200m and Long Jump.
